MY BRITISH FRIEND
My very british friend and archaeology buddy of many years, husband died.
He was cremated and she asked me to go with her to spread his ashes.
It was a beautiful Arizona day when we picked up his cremains.
She drove to the north side of the Catalina Mountains and we started the road up.
Up and up she drove, one tight turn after another. Up and up.
Finally we could see the San Pedro valley to our left. His favorite area.
She stopped the car and we got out. I moved away to allow her to have some privacy.
She called to me saying, “lets go”.
We headed down the Mountain and she stopped at a cafe where we had lunch.
As she paid the bill the service worker said, “Why are you ladies out today?”
My friend replied, “It is so pretty we just decided to take a drive.”
When we got to the car she turned to me and said,
”Well, I couldn’t tell her I just threw my husband off a cliff”
